🌱 4,500 plants later… WE’RE PLANTED! 🌱

All of the plugs for our Fall Plant Sale have officially been planted by our Horticulture ! 🙌

We’re so proud of the hard work our students have put in to get thousands of plants potted, organized, and ready to grow. Now comes the fun part—caring for them and watching them grow over the next several weeks!

This week, our first Floral Arrangements of the Month went out the door and into our community! 💐

This program is a true student partnership, our Floral Design students create each arrangement, and our Adaptive Curriculum students help deliver them to our 40 subscribers throughout the community!

From designing and arranging to packaging and delivery, students are gaining real-world skills while providing a service to our community. We’re so excited to see this program continue to grow!

“We’ve done a really good job the past couple years of building a diverse community, and that’s really what we want to continue,” Brooks said “Getting as many students from different backgrounds, different experiences and doing as much as we possibly can to bring awareness to Agriculture and FFA here at Clarke Central.”

We love the diversity of our community, program and chapter and we can’t wait for what the 2026-2027 school year brings!

We made a SPLASH 💦 at our FFA Back to School Bash!

75 new and returning FFA members joined us to kick off another exciting year! From Mr. Carr Brooks and Mr. Ash showing off their grill skills 🌭, to games and an EPIC water balloon battle 💧🎈, it was a great evening with our !

We are SO excited about what’s ahead for Clarke Central FFA this year and can’t wait to see where it takes us!

Both our Floral Design and Nursery Landscape have been learning all about Color Theory and the Principles & Elements of Design as they gear up to start creating arrangements and landscapes of their own!

🎨 From creating a tasty color wheel to experimenting with color through tie-dye, students have been putting these concepts into practice in some colorful ways.

Next up: taking what they’ve learned and putting it to work in their own floral arrangements and landscape designs! 🌿💐

Our Basic Ag Science have been learning all about FFA this week!

After learning about official FFA dress and the iconic blue corduroy jacket members wear at competitions, conventions, conferences, and other events, students even got the chance to do a little role playing and try it out for themselves!

🎉 Congratulations to Kate Hinger!

We are incredibly excited to share that Kate has been named a National Golden Level Finalist for her FFA Proficiency Application, becoming the first student in Clarke Central High School history to earn this national recognition!

FFA Proficiency Awards recognize students for the skills, knowledge, and experiences they develop through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). Kate’s SAE has grown through her work at KB Sporthorses, where she has continued to take on greater responsibilities and now serves as a barn manager.

This recognition is a testament to Kate’s hard work, growth, and dedication to developing real-world skills in the equine industry.

We are incredibly proud of Kate for representing Clarke Central FFA on the national level and for once again making history! ❤️💛

Each week, students anonymously nominate a classmate who has gone above and beyond in the classroom and lab by demonstrating strong leadership, work ethic, participation, technical skills, and the employability skills we work to build every day.
