📢DON'T DELAY, RE-ENROLL TODAY! Returning Student Registration (Re-Enrollment) for the 2026-2027 school year is going on now for rising 1st - 12th grade students currently enrolled in AES, BES, CES, JNES, AIS, AMS, and AHS. Please check your primary email for a snapcode from PowerSchool Registration Support and follow the instructions provided. Families will receive a separate snapcode email for each currently enrolled student. Please note, you must upload the following documents during the re-enrollment process: proof of residence and parent/guardian driver’s license or ID. Updated immunization required for rising 6th-grade students. If you did not receive your snapcode, please contact 256.233.6600. If you need access to a device to complete re-enrollment, please stop by ACS Central Office on Monday - Thursday from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.

🚍If you need bus transportation for your K-8 student this fall, you must sign up during this re-enrollment process. Learn more about ACS transportation at acs-k12.org/transportation. Please note that bus service is not available for students at Athens High School or Athens Renaissance School.

SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM Athens City Schools is pleased to offer the 2026 Summer Meal Program for children 18 years old and younger in Athens and Limestone County. Meals will be served Monday through Thursday through June 18 at Athens Elementary School.
🍎Breakfast: 8:15 AM – 8:45 AM
🍎Lunch: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

ACS CELEBRATES AMERICA 250 Athens City Schools is proud to join communities across Alabama in celebrating America 250, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This historic milestone gives our students a meaningful opportunity to honor our nation’s past, reflect on the values that unite us, and look toward the future as engaged citizens, leaders, and lifelong learners.

Way to go, Austin!

🎉CONGRATS to Austin Turner for earning a first-place finish in the PlayVS South Central Region Chess Solos League! Competing against more than 100 players from 13 states, Austin finished the season with an outstanding 9–1 record and captured the first league championship. A member of both the AMS eSports Team and AMS Chess Team, Austin's championship season builds on an impressive fall campaign in which he placed second in league competition. His continued growth, dedication, and commitment have helped him become one of the region’s top chess competitors. The ACS eSports program provides students with opportunities to develop critical thinking, teamwork, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills through organized competitive gaming. Way to go, Austin! We look forward to cheering you on as you continue your success in high school eSports 🎮 this fall.
