It’s getting competitive here at Howard Park! Ms. Rose and Mr. Taylor are going head-to-head in a game of Casino!

Ms. Rose said she’s in here “whipping on him,” but Mr. Taylor said, “The game ain’t over yet!”

Well, according to the scoreboard… 👀

Mr. Taylor – 2
Ms. Rose – 1

Looks like Ms. Rose is the one getting “whipped!” 😂

Where did Taste & Tell take us Friday? Check out the video and see!

Our participants enjoyed good food, great company, and another opportunity to put their taste buds to the test! From the food to the atmosphere, everyone had a chance to rate their dining experience.

Where will Taste & Tell take us next?

Small class, but BIG energy tonight at Howard Park!

Coach T didn’t let up just because we had a smaller crowd! She made sure everybody got their workout in!

Coach T said she’s helping us get a jump start on those New Year’s resolutions! Why wait until January when you can start NOW?

Come step with us next time!

From Books to Farm Adventures!

Our Howard Park After School kids have been on the move this week, and what a fun week it’s been!

On Tuesday, we visited the Athens-Clarke County Library, where the kids completed homework, enjoyed some reading time, and had a chance to explore all the library had to offer!

On Wednesday, we packed up and ventured outside of Athens for a day of fun at Jaemor Farms! From sliding and playing to exploring new activities, there was no shortage of fun and excitement!

Now it’s time for a little FALL BREAK! We hope all of our kids enjoy their time off, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday!

Until then, take a look at our pictures to see all the fun we had this week!

Our ladies were busy at Stitch & Create tonight! Mrs. Julia had them working on potholders, and they even got a head start on their next projects!

We love seeing their creativity and confidence grow with each class. Come back next week to see what they come up with!

We had a FULL HOUSE at Line Dance tonight and loved seeing some new faces!

We welcome all skill levels at Howard Park! Just remember to keep moving, have fun, and don’t give up!

“Don’t be afraid to miss a step. Every great dancer was once a beginner who kept moving!”

Hope to see you at our next class!

ACCGov retiree Mr. Marion says this is how he enjoys his retirement! Coming to Howard Park and putting a WHOOPING on folks at the card and pool tables!

And he’s not done yet! He said he’ll be back tomorrow, same time, ready for whoever wants some!

Who’s up for the challenge? Come get some!

Another great evening of Stitch & Create at Howard Park Community Center!

Most of our ladies were beginners, so we started with getting familiar with the sewing machine and learning the basics!

We also had some familiar faces return! They enjoyed the last class so much that they came back to finish up projects and start something new!

Whether you’re just learning or already know your way around a sewing machine, there’s always something to create at Howard Park!
