Congratulations to Jeff Sharp on his upcoming retirement. He has spent over 18 years with Athens/Limestone County 911 serving the people who live, work, and are traveling through our area. He has done anything and everything that has ever been asked of him and has been a great employee who we will all miss. For the many thousands of emergencies he has handled over the years we want to say Thank You!

Congratulations to one of our night Shift Lead’s Caleb Roberson on winning the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Public Servant Award - “Dispatcher” for this year.

Thank you to our local VFW for always supporting our first responders and putting on a great ceremony on Sunday.

We ended NPST WEEK 2026 just as we started it, courtesy of Limestone County Association of Volunteer Firefighters! They provided Cash & Jacks for lunch and domino’s for supper.

Our dispatchers were treated to lunch from Logan's Roadhouse and Lisa Fowler Butler! (We tried to get a picture but the food went too fast), and night shift enjoyed Whitts BBQ with sweet treats delivered by Athens EMS supervisors!

Our dispatchers were treated to Chick-fil-A for lunch, courtesy of Renee Jacobs and Survival Flight 20!
Derrick Gatlin, District 3 Commissioner, sponsored night shift tonight with a healthy dose of pizza, and Athens EMS Supervisors delivered a sweet treat to finish off the day!

We are fortunate to be surrounded by such supportive agencies in our county!

Our day shift was treated to lunch by East Highland Baptist Church- full Italian style! We had ice cream treats delivered by Cheryle Breeding Elder and Skipper Carter Breeding, who are both favorites of ours!
Night shift was treated to supper by Teresa and Doug Butler, parents of our very own Riley McClendon!
