I was so happy to join Lora Wondolowski for State Representative, Mayor Desorgher and Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll at Just Roots this morning to talk about food insecurity, farmers and how we can best support those who feed our neighbors.

This is the only congregate dining program in the state (and possibly the country) that has seniors dining at a high school. This multi-generational congregate lunch is a wonderful way to bring community members together. AND the food, not only is nutritious, it is delicious. Congratulations to all who had a hand in this program. I hope this lunch program is just the beginning.

What a great celebration at the new “Residences at the Park” in Athol. This project, which renovates the former Ellen Bigelow and Riverbend schools into more than 50 unites of housing, couldn’t have been possible without the collaboration of Federal, State, Local partners both public and private. These two old school buildings will now be homes to many.
If you get a chance to tour the building, you’ll be impressed with the bits of the old schools that are still present and part of the new building.

I visited this lunch yesterday and felt such a warm sense of community. The food looked delicious and everyone was happy. What a fantastic program. Congratulations to LifePath & Mahar for this first of its kind dining experience!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this is your reminder to schedule your yearly mammogram.

You can stop by Registration to book an appointment, or come in for a walk-in screening any Thursday between 5:00 and 8:00 PM. No appointment needed.

When you arrive, check in at Patient Registration first (after 6:00 PM, use ER Registration), then head over to Radiology Reception.

Early detection matters. Take care of yourself, and encourage the women in your life to do the same. 💗
