Coeur d’Alene and Kootenai County Firefighters Return Home

Fallen Battalion Chiefs John Morrison and Frank Harwood will return home to Coeur d’Alene Tuesday morning.

A procession of emergency vehicles is expected to leave the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office, 102 S Spokane Street, at 10:00 a.m.

The motorcade will travel east on I-90 to the Sherman Avenue exit in Coeur d’Alene. It will travel west on Sherman to 4th Street and then head north to The English Funeral Chapel at 1133 N 4th Street.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects is encouraged to line the route in a safe manner.

Our agencies want to thank the community for their overwhelming support during this difficult time.

The last couple of days….while still handling multiple calls for service….. Your fire fighters had the opportunity to serve our Community in another way.

In conjunction with Bayview Marinas and our Random Acts of Kindness benevolence fund, we were able to purchase and donate over 2000 # of food to the Athol Community food bank. We were then able to help pack over 125 boxes to hand out.

Today we had the opportunity to assist those in need with loading a turkey and the boxes full of food into their vehicles.

What an awesome opportunity to continue to serve our community.

We would like to thank everyone who donates to our benevolence fund. If you would like to join us In impacting our community, we will be holding our annual food and toy drives the first few weeks of December. If you miss us out and about, feel free to drop your donations by the fire station.

Local 4483 still has some of this year's Breast Cancer awareness shirts available. We will have them tonight at the Athol trunk or treat in the super 1 parking lot. Hope to see you there!
