Donโ€™t let that beautiful orange color fool you. This is the Gulf Fritillary. One easy way to tell them apart from monarchs: the silvery spots on the under side of their wings.

These native Texas butterflies are the highlight of our pollinator garden right now, so if you stop by park headquarters, make sure you check them out!

This is our amazing Seasonal Interpreter, Ranger Sandi. Some of you have come to her programs or seen her in the office over the summer.

Today was her final day for the season at the park. We want to wish her well on her future adventures and thank her for all the hard work and care she has poured into the park these last few months! Weโ€™ll miss you Ranger Sandi!
