This past week, ATL Airport CIDs held our bi-monthly joint Board Meeting, where Airport South and Airport West boards continued advancing initiatives to improve South Metro.

The meeting was bittersweet as we bid farewell to two valued board members. We honored the late Frank Farrell by presenting his family with a plaque recognizing his incomparable contributions to the Airport South CID. We also celebrated the retirement of Dr. Stuart Gulley after 11 years of outstanding service. Dr. Gulley played a pivotal role in shaping the Airport West CID - introducing Woodward Academy to the CID and expanding our reach across the Southwest Atlanta metro. We extend our sincere gratitude for his leadership, commitment and lasting impact on our organization.

We also welcomed and swore in the newest member of the Airport West CID Board, Courtney Benas. Courtney brings extensive experience in the quick service restaurant industry, overseeing and owning several McDonald’s locations - including right here in our CID. We’re excited for the leadership and perspective he will bring to our work.

Join us for our next board meeting on February 12, 2026 and stay connected to all the exciting progress happening across South Metro.
