Team Magistrate Court took a break from the daily grind to join the Fulton County Spades Tournament! We had a great time stepping away from the workday, enjoying some friendly competition, and connecting with our fellow Fulton County departments.

On Friday, July 24, 2026, the Magistrate Court of Fulton County said goodbye to one of our summer interns, Breanna Donaire. We are grateful for the time she spent with us and wish her all the best.

We were also honored to have Judge Charles Simmons meet with our interns to share career advice and words of encouragement. One piece of wisdom that especially resonated are words Judge Simmons says he lives by: “How you do anything is how you do everything.” It’s a simple and powerful reminder that excellence is built through the small things we do every day.

Throughout their time on the Magistrate Court bench, both judges have exemplified integrity, professionalism, and compassion in carrying out their judicial responsibilities.

Give it up for our team! We review and track our case data so we can see what case types need attention.

In 2024, parties filed 35,235 landlord-tenant cases. And, as of October 1, 2025, 3,801 remained open. Since that time, our Magistrate Court Team has successfully closed 3,796 of those landlord-tenant cases filed in 2024. Our small and mighty team, including judges and judicial assistants, kept chipping away. And, we are almost at 0.

This milestone reflects the exceptional work of our judges and court staff, whose professionalism and tireless efforts continue to strengthen access to justice and improve service for everyone who comes through our courthouse. We are proud of what we've accomplished together.

Behind every case closed is a dedicated team committed to serving our community.
