🛠️ 6/21 Father's Day Furniture Build with Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta — Celebrate the father figures in our lives by inviting them to build furniture for families coming out of homelessness! Learn how to safely handle tools, assemble furniture, and have fun with loved ones.

Let's hear it for the Teen Leadership Program (TLP) Homelessness team!

This duo team partnered with 7 Bridges to focus on providing immediate relief to community members experiencing homelessness through thoughtful care packages filled with personal care items and non-perishable food.

Alongside assembling care packages, the teens brought a sense of community to the 7 Bridges residents and supported a healthy environment for recovery.

Congrats to the Teen Leadership Program (TLP) Hunger group for an impactful service project!

As a large group, the teens worked together to tackle multiple projects focused on alleviating hunger across Metro Atlanta. Thanks to their efforts, hundreds of meals were donated, prepared, and served. In total, their project saw approximately 466 meals through food drives, dinner services, and sandwich assembly.

Introducing the Teen Leadership Program (TLP) Global Awareness group!

The TLP took action to raise awareness on the impact of food insecurity with their project, "Think Global, Act Local." From designing a full-scale volunteer event to providing a model that anyone can build on to continue the ripples, the teens challenged their community to think critically about food insecurity and are already on track to deepen their reach in the coming years.

We're so proud of the group's commitment to making a long-term impact and can't wait to see where their dreams will take them. Way to go, TLP!

The Generation Connect Summer Camp with A.G. Rhodes is open to all teens in the metro Atlanta area!

Generation Connect is a unique blend of service, career education, and friendship. Teens pair up with elders at A.G. Rhodes to record oral histories, spend meaningful time together, and develop relationships across generations.

The camp's goals are to build and strengthen connections between people, teach the value of listening, and introduce youth to career development opportunities.

The Teen Leadership Program (TLP) Education + Literacy team is back for another year of awesomeness!

For 6 years running, members of the TLP have tackled the problem of underprivileged education among metro Atlanta youth. This year, the teens partnered with La Amistad Inc. to tutor ESL elementary school students and launched a fun-filled career fair that's got them thinking like future leaders!

Let's give it up for the Teen Leadership Program (TLP) Animal Group!

As a returning group from the previous cohort, the teens went from hosting a volunteer event last year that raised awareness about animal wellness and supported shelters during the off-season to organizing a special dog adoption event with Shelter x Shelves Rescue!

From planning to networking to budgeting, they hosted a successful event where pups can find their forever home and support local shelters with a donation drive of high-need dog items, such as food, toys, and care products.

Many dogs have found their new families thanks to the dedication of our teen leaders. Way to go! ❤️
