BlockPower

BlockPower Dedicated to increasing Black voter turnout in Georgia and beyond. Join us: https://linktr.ee/block We need all hands on deck, join us!

Our Mission: In 2016 a record 137.5 million Americans voted in the general election. While the overall turnout rate was higher than in recent years, the Black voter turnout rate declined for the first time in 20 years. In key states, where razor-thin margins of victory are common, increasing turnout is essential to ensure that all communities are represented in the political process. Even moreso d

uring midterm elections where voter turnout drops across the board. Our Method: We organize volunteers and Voting Ambassadors who reach out to their friends, families, and neighbors who need an extra push to the polls (Vote Triplers), and they then remind three people in their circle to vote. After just a few months, we have been able to activate over one hundred thousand voters!

Georgia, you made your voices heard. And you made sure your neighbors' voices were heard, too. 👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿

Congratulations and thank you! Take a moment to applaud yourself and share this to thank your fellow Voting Ambassadors.

They said it couldn’t be done again, but over 1M Black voters made their voices heard loud and clear in the elections.

Thank you Georgia 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Posted • We did it... we did it Georgia. Still in awe at the nearly 4.4 million Georgians who came out to vote in a runoff election held over the holidays in the midst of a pandemic. Black, Latinx, AAPI, and young voters defied expectations and had record turnout. Nearly 100,000 people of color who didn’t vote in the general voted in the runoff. We are truly building long-lasting political power in this state. Proud to be on this journey with you all.
