Lifespan Resources Our social enrichment program aims to bridge the generation gap, and help alleviate social isolation.

Since our inception in 1981 as North Atlanta Senior Services (NASS), Lifespan Resources has been providing social and cognitive enrichment to older adults. In 2023, Lifespan launched its current platform, Lifespan Intergenerational (IG), pairing college students virtually with older adults aging in place at home. Lifespan is a nonprofit organization that relies on volunteers and donations of fina

ncial support to continue its two-part mission of helping bridge the generation gap, and helping prevent social isolation in older adults.

Every May, Older Americans Month celebrates the contributions of older adults and reaffirms our commitment to serving them.

The 2026 theme, Champion Your Health, focuses on prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as cornerstones of healthy aging. It encourages taking an active role in managing your own health, advocating for yourself, accessing preventive care, and making informed decisions that support independence.

At Lifespan, we honor older adults through meaningful intergenerational connections by sharing stories, career experiences, and moments that bring generations closer. 🤝

Day 6 - Let’s Develop Intergenerational Workplaces 🤝

Intergenerational collaboration in the workplace creates space for shared learning. Younger generations offer insight into emerging trends and technology, and older adults bring experience, perspective, and adaptability. When generations come together, it opens the door to stronger communication, creative problem-solving, and new ways of working that benefit everyone involved. 🧩

Lifespan Resources continues to reflect these values in our own work. This year, we have partnered with Georgia State University MSW students on a social media campaign, participated in an intergenerational interview with 11Alive featuring program participants, and engaged interns in ongoing conversations with our Executive Director about program growth.

richer ideas and stronger outcomes.
