Lifespan Resources Our social enrichment program aims to bridge the generation gap, and help alleviate social isolation.

Since our inception in 1981 as North Atlanta Senior Services (NASS), Lifespan Resources has been providing social and cognitive enrichment to older adults. In 2023, Lifespan launched its current platform, Lifespan Intergenerational (IG), pairing college students virtually with older adults aging in place at home. Connection and community were at the heart of the YMCA Vibrant Living Expo! 💛

Last Friday, Lifespan joined the Cowart Family YMCA for its Vibrant Living Expo, bringing together adults 55+, local organizations, and community resources focused on living well, staying connected, and thriving at every age.

We loved the opportunity to share Lifespan’s mission, connect with members of the community, and spend the morning alongside organizations working to make a difference across Atlanta.

Planning is in full swing for the 1st Annual Adam Gourley Memorial Golf Outing! ⛳️

Our golf committee came together this weekend as we continue preparing for a meaningful day of golf, connection, and community in honor of Adam.

We’re grateful to the sponsors who have already stepped up to support the outing, and there are still several opportunities to get involved. Lifespan Intergenerational is built on a simple belief: meaningful connection has no age limit.

We create opportunities for people of different generations to come together, share experiences, learn from one another, and build connections that might not otherwise happen.

Sometimes, the most meaningful experiences begin with a simple “yes.”

As a college student, Amanda didn’t often have the chance to connect with older adults. Through her internship with Lifespan IG, she built meaningful relationships and discovered the joy of connecting across generations.

“Meeting with my group was a constant source of joy.” Today, Amanda continues to seek out opportunities to connect with older adults.

Loneliness doesn’t stop at city limits.

This CBS Sunday Morning story is a powerful reminder that older adults in rural communities often face unique challenges when it comes to staying connected. As more older adults choose to age in place, access to meaningful connection becomes just as important as access to care.

At Lifespan IG, our Tech to Connect platform is helping address loneliness and isolation by making meaningful connection more accessible for older adults. We believe connection shouldn’t depend on where someone lives, because one connection can change a life.

Join us for the 1st Annual Adam Gourley Memorial Golf Outing as we celebrate Adam’s life and honor the remarkable gift he shared so naturally-bringing people together.

Although Adam passed away far too soon at the age of 25 in October 2024, his legacy of friendship, kindness, and connection continues to inspire us.

Proceeds from this special event will benefit Lifespan Intergenerational, where Adam’s legacy lives on through our mission of reducing loneliness and isolation by fostering meaningful connection, community, purpose, and belonging across generations.
