On Monday, August 3, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, under the leadership of District Attorney Fani T. Willis, proudly hosted its annual 2026 Summer Internship Graduation and Awards Ceremony.
We were especially honored to welcome Congresswoman Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett of Texas as this year's keynote speaker.

Prior to the ceremony, Congresswoman Crockett spent time meeting one-on-one with our interns, sharing her experiences, offering words of encouragement, answering questions, and taking photos with our future leaders.

Throughout the summer, our interns gained invaluable hands-on experience by working on real cases, observing courtroom proceedings, and learning alongside prosecutors, investigators, and professional staff. They also participated in educational field trips to locations including the Georgia State Capitol, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office, and many other agencies that play a vital role in our criminal justice system.

During the graduation ceremony, interns were recognized for their hard work and outstanding achievements throughout the program, receiving awards, gift cards, and scholarships in recognition of their participation and success.

Congratulations to our outstanding 2026 Summer Interns! We look forward to seeing the incredible impact each of you will make in the legal profession and beyond.

From July 20–24, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office proudly hosted our Annual Summer Intern Mock Trial Competition, where our talented interns gained hands-on courtroom experience by preparing opening statements, examining witnesses, introducing evidence, arguing objections, and delivering closing arguments before judges and a jury.

This immersive experience strengthened their advocacy, critical thinking, and public speaking skills while inspiring the next generation of legal professionals and public servants.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our dedicated staff and the distinguished members of the judiciary who generously volunteered their time, expertise, and mentorship throughout the competition. Their commitment, thoughtful feedback, and encouragement gave our interns an invaluable opportunity to learn from some of Georgia's most respected legal professionals while making this week's competition a tremendous success.

Hundreds of kids and their parents turned out Saturday morning for a school supply giveaway, free haircuts and prizes, all hosted by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.

It’s the tenth year the office has organized the event, and District Attorney Fani Willis told Channel 2’s Bryan Mims that it’s a powerful way to connect with the community and ease the burden of back-to-school expenses.

“People are really, really struggling,” Willis said. “When they’re going to the store to buy groceries, when they’re trying to get ready for the school year, it’s an extra expense, and it’s a hefty expense.”
