Do you know a high school girl who is curious about technology, already stepping into her potential, and bringing others along with her?

The WIT Girl of the Year award was made for her.

This recognition is open to junior and senior high school girls who have participated in at least one WIT Girls program. It is a self-application, so share this with her directly and encourage her to tell her own story. Because the future of technology looks like her. And she deserves to know it.

Share this application link with her: 🔗 https://ow.ly/cYnW50Z4tUG

You walk into the room thinking the decision is still on the table. It isn't.

The women who influence outcomes know the real work happens before the calendar invite goes out. It's called doing the meetings before the meetings, and it's one of the most powerful moves in a leader's playbook.

Nominations close this Friday, May 29!

The WIT Woman to Watch award recognizes emerging leaders who are already making an impact, women with exceptional trajectory who aren't waiting for permission to lead. This is for the rising leader who is building something, driving something, and inspiring the people around her along the way.

That might be someone in your network. Or it might be you.

Self-nomination is encouraged. Tell us your story (or hers) in your own words.

She leads with vision. She drives change that goes far beyond her title. And she's someone you know.

The Woman of the Year award is WIT's highest honor, recognizing executive-level women whose impact extends well beyond themselves. Whether she's leading transformation at a major enterprise, scaling her own company, or driving change in a mission-driven organization, what matters is the scope of her leadership. Not her title. Not how long she's been in the role.

The Woman of the Year award spans three subcategories:
✨ Enterprise Executive
✨ Organizational Executive
✨ Emerging Executive

You don't need to choose. Just tell us why she deserves to be recognized. The nominee will be assigned to the subcategory that best fits her story.

We were so proud to have our CEO, Heather Rocker, and WIT Board President, Betsy Robinson, together at the 2026 Georgia Titan 100 ceremony at the Delta Flight Museum, sharing the stage with Georgia's top leaders.

And more exciting news: Heather has been selected to join the Georgia Titan 100 Board for 2026. She'll help shape the direction of this community of leaders doing meaningful work across our state, and we know she'll bring the same energy and vision she brings to WIT every day.

Congratulations to you both! 💜

Yesterday's May Virtual WIT Forum made one thing clear: sponsorship doesn't happen by accident. It happens when leaders get intentional about who they're seeing, who they're advocating for, and who might be ready but being overlooked.

A few key takeaways:

➡️ Sponsorship is not mentorship. Mentors help you do your current role better. Sponsors say your name in rooms you're not in and put their credibility behind your readiness.
➡️ Make your aspirations known. Sponsors can't advocate for goals they don't know you have. Ask: "What would it take for me to be seen as ready?"
➡️ If you're in a position to sponsor someone, start small. Say one person's name in a room that matters. Put someone forward for a stretch opportunity. That single act can change a trajectory.

"If sponsorship is left to chance, it tends to follow familiarity. If it's intentional, it can actually shape equity."

Thank you to our panelists for their wonderful insights and to everyone who joined us. And a special thank you to our presenting partner, Tier4 Group, for making this event possible.

Who's in your corner?

05/20/2026

Manjula Ganta, 2025 WIT Awards Finalist, knows what it feels like to struggle twice as hard just to be heard, and she turned that into a calling.

She shares why WIT's mission is deeply personal, and why recognition is so important.

"Together, we need to build a future where every woman in technology is seen, supported, and truly unstoppable."

That future starts with making sure her story is told. Who in your network deserves to be recognized next?

Meet Nicole Rebolledo, Project Manager at Ocean Bank, and one of the incredible volunteers who makes WIT events happen behind the scenes. ✨

When asked what drew her to volunteering, she put it simply: "I didn't just want to attend events, I wanted to help create them."

And what keeps her coming back? "The people, hands down." She says even small contributions, like planning an event, facilitating a panel, or mentoring, can help someone feel a little more confident about their career path. That's exactly what WIT is built on.

91% of WIT Forum attendees leave ready to take a specific action toward their career goals. Will you be one of them?

For our upcoming May Virtual WIT Forum, presented by Tier4 Group, we're getting specific about sponsorship, the advocacy relationships that actually change trajectories. Not mentorship. Not networking. Someone with organizational power saying your name in rooms you're not in, opening doors, and following through.

Wherever you are in your career, this conversation is for you. Early in your journey. Mid-career and sensing something is missing. A leader who wants to advocate more intentionally. This one meets you there.
