In 2005, the Parole Board and Department of Corrections combined their offices of victim services to form the Corrections and Parole Board Office of Victim Services (OVS). This afforded both agencies the opportunity to accommodate victims and provide victims with the highest possible level of customer service. In 2015, the office started serving the newly created Georgia Department of Community Su

pervision and changed its name to the Georgia Office of Victim Services to expand its reach to the community. The Office of Victim Services works with victims and/or their families to answer questions about parole, to ensure their views and concerns reach the Board Members prior to any parole decision, and to keep them notified of activity on their case. All letters and contacts with the office are made a permanent and confidential part of the parole file on the offender.

A few weeks ago, I had the pawsome opportunity to partner with for Camp Puzzle! đŸ§© I don’t think my tail has stopped wagging ever since 😜

I got to connect with some incredible individuals on the Autism spectrum at this sensory-friendly event. It’s always a great day when I get to meet new friends and brighten a few days with warm cuddles and tail wags đŸ§©

I am so grateful to work alongside DCS and be part of events that strengthen our community, one pawshake at a time.

Denim Day isn’t about fashion. It’s about taking a stand.

It began after a harmful court ruling claimed a survivor’s clothing implied consent. In response, people wore denim in protest, and a global movement was born to challenge victim-blaming and stand with survivors of sexual violence.

Denim Day is a reminder that what someone wears is never an invitation, never an excuse, and never the cause of harm.

Wear denim to show your support. Speak up to challenge harmful myths. Stand with survivors and be part of a culture that believes, respects, and protects.
