Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in Georgia. Launched in 1940, the IVLP seeks to build mutual understanding between the United States and other nations through carefully designed professional visits to the U.S. for current and emerging foreign leaders. ambassadors consistently rank the IVLP as most effective in a long list of public diplomacy tools at their dis

Thank you to all who have given their lives while in service of the U.S. armed forces!

For anyone with active duty military in their family, we hope you take advantage of this free opportunity to visit the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library over the summer!

We are a Blue Star Museum! Starting this Saturday (May 16) through Labor Day (September 7), active duty military and up to five family members will receive free admission to our museum by showing a valid military ID. We are open Monday-Saturday from 9:30am-4:30pm.

Thanks Georgia Municipal Association for hosting local government leaders from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, and Tunisia participating in a Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) to discuss the relationship between cities and state and federal government, collaboration among municipalities, community organizations, the business sector, and the services provided by GMA and Georgia’s cities.

Another excellent example of the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and best practices that occurs during international exchange programs.
