Great day at the Georgia Chamber's Annual Congressional Luncheon! 🏛️💼🖤

Powerful conversations with colleagues and candidates about the future of business and business growth in our state. Shoutout to my colleague Rep. Jasmine Clark — always great to show up alongside her! 🙌🏾

Georgia is the No. 1 state to do BUSINESS. That's great.

But being No. 1 for business is NOT enough if we're not also No. 1 for the Georgians who LIVE, WORK, and THRIVE here. 💪🏾

A FULL DAY OF LEGISLATIVE WORK — and I would not have it any other way. 🏛️🖤

As your State Representative for House District 95 — and a legislator who focuses on AI and capital markets policy — today was about building the relationships that turn good ideas into real results for the people of Georgia.

☕ MORNING: I had the privilege of joining the African American Credit Union Coalition at their annual conference in Alpharetta — connecting with mission-driven financial leaders doing critical work to expand capital access in communities that have historically been underserved. Credit unions are community-rooted, partnership-driven, and built to serve the people banks often overlook. That matters deeply to me. 🙌🏾

🖥️ AFTERNOON: I headed over to Google to coordinate on the future of AI policy — because as a legislator working in this space, I know good policy is not written in a vacuum. It is written in partnership with the people, industries, and communities it will impact.

Here is what tied these two rooms together —

I truly believe AI is going to be a great equalizer in our economy — especially for communities that have historically been left behind. But it will only be an equalizer if we, as lawmakers, get the policy RIGHT.

⚖️ Fair. Ethical. Clear. Written with the underserved in mind — not as an afterthought.

That is the work I am committed to doing at the Capitol. And that is the work I am proud to bring back home to House District 95. 💪🏾

Chicago — you did that! 🌆💚🖤

Just wrapped up an amazing week at the National Conference for Environmental Legislators (NCEL) — soaking up knowledge on clean energy, progressive state solutions, and networking with some of the sharpest minds in the environmental advocacy space. 💪🏾

And plot twist — I stepped in LAST MINUTE to moderate a fire panel:

⭐ "The Physical Toll of a Digital World: Data Centers and Justice-Centered Approaches" ⭐

As data centers expand across our states, the environmental and community impact is REAL — and often falls hardest on communities that already carry too much. Huge thanks to my panelists for keeping it real and rooted. 🙏🏾

Now — I'm bringing it ALL back to Georgia and House District 95. A balanced, consumer-centered approach to emerging tech and the environment is possible. Innovation AND protection. Both. 🌎💚

This is a question I seriously have for the American people.....👀👀👀

If Trump alludes to trying to run for a 3rd term....even in jest.......

1. Why is that even funny given his inability to follow the Constitution and the generational damage he has done to this country?

AND

2. Why aren't we believing him? He has told us numerous times what he will do that dont benefit this country and done it.

I personally think there are many who just don't believe what he says when he jokes or alludes to trying to run for a 3rd term. 🤷🏿‍♀️

But Maya Angelou was right: "When someone shows you who they are the first time...believe them." 🤦🏾‍♀️
