Covenant House Georgia

Covenant House Georgia We serve youth facing homelessness with unconditional love, absolute respect, & relentless support.

Covenant House Georgia is a 50-bed crisis shelter that serves youth between the ages of 18-24. Youth are given the opportunity to achieve stability, work with a case manager and develop a plan for the future. Additionally, two independent living programs are offered, a 16-bed apartment-based program and a 24-bed program onsite called Rights of Passage. These programs are designed to help our youth

learn to live independently. We also offer a community day center where youth can receive services such as food, clothing, case management, and GED or vocational training. We are open 24/7/365 to all youth who are in need of safety, shelter and support.

Happy Pride Month from the Covenant House Georgia family! 🌈

At The Cov, everyone is welcome, just as they are. We’re committed to providing a safe, supportive space where all young people can access the care, resources, and opportunities they deserve.

Did you know that nearly 40% of youth experiencing homelessness identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community? This month and every month, we stand with LGBTQ+ youth and celebrate the strength, resilience, and diversity of our community.

“Because of you, it’s like—‘Okay, we can get you there. We can get you back.’” - Marissa

To our donors: thank you. 💙

For many of the young moms we serve, something as simple as transportation can be the difference between keeping a job or losing it. Whether it’s an Uber ride when a car breaks down, a bus pass to get to work, or help covering daycare for the week, your support shows up in real, life-changing ways.

When money is tight and choices feel impossible, you step in with compassion and understanding.

Because of you, young mothers don’t have to choose between caring for their children and building a future.

Your generosity keeps them moving forward, literally and figuratively.

What an exciting past couple of days it has been for one of our young people, Quen. She walked the stage at our graduation and received her GED, transitioned from our Gift of Hope apartments into stable housing, and celebrated her birthday last week.

We love celebrating the accomplishments of our young people and watching them shine. Join us in congratulating Quen and letting her know how proud we are of everything she has achieved.

Congratulations, Quen!

Kailana is three years old, and her mom describes her in one word: pure. 💕

She loves to dance, sing, play outside, and, of course, anything pink. But what makes Kailana truly special is her heart.

One day at the park, when another child fell, Kailana was the one who stopped. She checked on her, made sure she was okay, and helped her find her mom. That kindness? It says everything.

"The biggest thing is to have patience" is what Marissa said after asking what the hardest adjustment was when becoming a mom.

Because of supporters like you, Kailana is growing up in a safe, stable home where she can just be a kid, and become exactly who she’s meant to be.

This Mother’s Day, you can help more children like Kailana thrive.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

We recognize that every young person who comes through our doors arrives with their own unique story and circumstances. The journey they took to get to our campus shows up in many different ways, including challenges with mental health.

In fact, 69% of youth experiencing homelessness report mental health challenges.

That’s why we have dedicated mental health professionals on-site, providing care, support, and guidance every step of the way.

We want to celebrate graduation season and congratulate all of our graduates, including one of our own, Amaya! As our Community Engagement Case Manager, Amaya makes a difference every day by working in our drop-in center assisting young people accessing resources that best support their needs, and we are so proud to share that she is graduating with her Master’s in Social Work.

Amaya’s passion for social work was inspired by many experiences, especially the people she encountered while growing up, including social workers whose compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on her. Their example helped shape her calling to serve others.

One message Amaya shares with the young people she works with is: “You are not your past, and your trauma does not define you.”

Congratulations, Amaya! Thank you for all that you do and for showing up each day for our youth with care, strength, and compassion.

Alora is only seven months old, but her mom already calls her “Alora Explorer.” 💕

She’s curious about everything, crawling, reaching, and even finding joy in something as simple as a crinkly water bottle. Every day is a new adventure.

When asked what advice she has for new mothers, Marissa said "stay focused on the main goal!".

Because of supporters like you, Alora is growing up in a safe, loving home through Covenant House Georgia’s Pregnant and Parenting Youth program.

This Mother’s Day, you can help more young moms and babies like Alora have the stability they deserve.

This Mother’s Day, we’re honoring the strength of moms like Marissa 💐

Not long ago, Marissa was living in her car with her daughters, doing everything she could to keep them safe. Then she found Covenant House Georgia.

Here, she found more than shelter. She found a home. A place where her daughters could laugh, play, and just be kids, and where she could begin again with the support she deserved.

Today, Marissa is building a stable, hopeful future for her family.

This is the impact you make possible.

💙 This Mother’s Day, you can help more young moms find safety, support, and a fresh start.
