Eid Mubarak from the ISB family to all who are celebrating. May this blessed season bring peace, joy, reflection, and renewed connection with family, community, and faith. Across ISB Atlanta, we continue to serve the wider community through education, cultural competency training, interfaith engagement, healthcare support, and public bridge-building. From preparing volunteers for a global sporting event to equipping chaplains and grief counselors with practical knowledge about Muslim end-of-life care, these moments reflect our mission to foster understanding, respect, and belonging.

Join us in celebrating Yusuf Naviwala, an outstanding graduate of Parkview High School. Graduating early and entering college as a sophomore through dual enrollment credits, Yusuf has demonstrated exceptional academic dedication and ambition throughout his high school journey.

A National Honor Society graduate and Beta Club member, Yusuf also completed two Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways during high school. His leadership and service have been recognized through his involvement with the GCPS Superintendent Advisory Council, Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful Green Youth Advisory Council, and the Model Atlanta Regional Commission (MARC) Youth Advisory. Yusuf was also honored as one of Peace Gwinnett’s “18 Under 18” for his impact in youth leadership, inclusion, and community engagement. In addition, he served as President of his school’s Chess Club and participated in numerous interfaith, environmental, and anti-bullying initiatives across Georgia.

Following graduation, Yusuf plans to continue his college education with interests in biomedical engineering, international relations, and business. He has also accepted an internship through the Act To Change Youth Ambassador Program, where he will continue advancing youth advocacy and anti-bullying initiatives. We look forward to seeing the meaningful impact Yusuf will continue to make in both local and global communities.

ISB Atlanta is devastated by the horrific attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego.

Houses of worship should always be places of peace, safety, and belonging. There is no place for anti-Muslim hate, violence, or intimidation in our communities or our country.

We stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the entire San Diego community during this painful time.

Our prayers are with everyone impacted, and we reaffirm the importance of protecting the right of every person to worship freely and safely.
