🏠🏫 Taking Care of Home ❤

For Walter Rutland, taking care of Atlanta Elementary School is about more than the building.

An Atlanta ISD graduate who returned home after years away, Walter sees the students walking through AES each day as part of the community that once helped raise him.

So when one student lost something important during breakfast, Walter didn’t hesitate to see what he could do to help.

“This is the community walking through these halls,” Walter said. “They’re not doctors and lawyers yet, but in a few years, this is Atlanta.”

⚾🐰 Registration is open for the Atlanta Rabbit Big League Bash!

Calling all young baseball players ages 7–14! Don't miss your chance to learn from professional and former professional baseball players at this exciting one-day clinic on Saturday, Nov. 7! ⚾

Participants will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills alongside professional players Taj Porter and Blake Morgan, former pro Drew Stubbs, and other college players! Plus, Vincent Chapman, the Dancing Umpire, will be joining the fun!

📍 Atlanta High School Baseball Field
⚾ Ages 7–10: 9–11 a.m.
⚾ Ages 11–14: 1–3 p.m.
💲 Registration: $100 per player

Each registered participant receives a Big League Bash T-shirt and a ticket to the 4 p.m. exhibition game!

🎟️ The exhibition game will feature alumni players and the AHS Varsity Baseball Team. The public is invited to attend for just $5 per ticket!

Our 5th graders brought idioms to life for "Dress Like an Idiom Day!" 🎭 From clever costumes to creative expressions, students had fun showing how a phrase can mean something different from what it says! 🐰❤️ Way to go 5th grade! You took learning to the next level!

🎒 Today’s House Meeting at AES was all about "Getting Organized!" Students cleaned out and organized their backpacks while learning how staying organized helps them find what they need and be ready to learn each day! 🏠❤️

🔥 Fire Prevention Poster Contest!🚒

Our AES students showed off their creativity with fire prevention posters! All submitted entries were placed in a random drawing, and the selected posters were sent to our local fire department, where firefighters chose four winners!

Congratulations to our winners: CJ Boyce, Zeke Puckett, Reed Johnson, and Aaliyah Stiger, and thank you to our firefighters for helping make this a fun experience! ❤️🚒
