Friends, it has been a long time since I've posted here, but the issues explained and cared about by those who follow this page are never far from my mind. When people contact me or my fellow advocates through MyAdvocateCenter.com or NavigatingJustice.org, I know that this online presence still makes a difference - and is much needed - even with the decade+ worth of content held mostly private while I heal from the work done in Georgia to bring children to safety.

I want you to know that while I have been quiet here, I am working behind the scenes to help where I can, serving parents and especially their children in need of safety, security, nurturing, and healing.

**We have children right now who can be recovered if we do not give up.**

The amazing thing that has happened in recent years is that more great lawyers have stepped up, showing great courage and intelligence in how they advocate in and around legal conflict and truthfully document - and confront - wrongdoing in court that is devastating parents, children, and grandparents.

Please read here on WikiLaw about the ongoing work to protect children and families who are being harmed, exploited, traumatized by unethical practices of court professionals and even some government agency officers.

The Flower Girl Motion

A little girl in Georgia hopes to be the flower girl in her uncle's wedding. What could possibly stand in her way?

She needs an extra day with her daddy, without added stress, without losing time with him, without fear over asking and saying she wants to go. It sounds simple, but nothing is simple for children when judges put their needs last.

Children love learning, even when they say they do not love "going to school," and the difference is the teachers, the para pros, librarians and coaches - and the difference is how we as parents encourage them in learning and building strong relationships with their teachers. Give them confidence and inspire them to be curious and interested in everything.


While schools are closing, now is a great time to pause and thank our teachers using social media and kind notes through email.

Monday Motivation:
Take time to volunteer after school to coach, tutor and to listen to children who are not having all of their needs met by family members. You may be the one makes all the difference in how well they do in school, whether or not they learn to take care of themselves or to compete in a healthy way. And you may wind up getting exactly what YOU need, just by spending time and sharing what you have to give - your heart and your experience.

“I wish everyone in America could be here to see this,” said Rep. Austin Scott, who picked up where U.S. Rep. John Lewis left off. Rep. Lewis, thank you, sir, for being this leader and a friend and supporter to so many.

Thank you to the AJC for making this video available, and I pray that everyone in America does watch it and does take it to heart. We need to follow their example, now more than ever. Credit to Tia Mitchell of the AJC for staying on top of this uplifting story.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Senator Johnny Isakson and his family as he rejoins civilian life.
