Formerly the Public Affairs Director for top rated Urban Station, V-103, and News Anchor for News/Talk 1380 WAOK, Erica continues to use her platform to inform the public of news they can use, specifically highlighting solution-based organizations that respond to their community's political, economic and social issues. native, she has resided in Georgia for nearly ten years and calls the south, her “home at heart.” She’s a graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate where she began her career in radio as an intern for Cox Radio of Greenville, SC. Erica quickly earned a full-time position before graduating from USCS with a Bachelors Degree in Communications, working her way up from receptionist, to controller’s assistant, to national sales assistant, and soon achieved her goal of becoming an on-air personality within a year’s time. Erica’s 10+ year radio career includes working as the mix-show host for Greenville’s 107.3 Jamz (WAMJ), hosting and producing the morning show on 102.7/106.9 The Blaze in Tyler, TX (KAZE/KBLZ), and working in Sales for Cox Media Group Atlanta (WALR/WSB/WBTS/WSRV). Erica is an advocate for non-profit organizations and has a great passion for raising awareness for their causes which stems from working closely with several organizations that could not afford to get the word out on their own. From traveling abroad to teach the English language, reading aloud to local children, building a house for a family in need, or passing her knowledge of journalism on to a class of aspiring broadcasters, Erica continues to donate her time to local and international organizations, all while producing a platform that boasts the public services they provide.
