HYDRANT FLUSHING UPDATE: The Town of Atlanta now will be flushing hydrants through the whole week of June 1st as well, we appreciate your patience during this process. Discoloration in the water will be temporary. While the water is safe for consumption and not harmful, you may want to run the faucets until discoloration disappears, especially before drinking. You may also want to hold off on laundry (especially white and light-colored clothing) while the discoloration is present!

While the water is safe for consumption and not harmful, you may want to run the faucets until discoloration disappears, especially before drinking. 2026 Spring Heavy/Bulk Item Curbside Pickup Date for Atlanta IN – WEDNESDAY, June 3rd!
We ask to limit the number of items setout to 4 items per household.

Don't:
No grass clippings, limbs, leaves, dirt, rocks, bricks, cement, appliances with Freon, tires, televisions, copy machines, telephones, computers, monitors, gaming systems, animal or human remains, large pieces of metal, hazardous chemical medical or infectious waste, oil based paints, flammable items, pesticides, bug spray, automotive fluid or parts.

Do:
Furniture, washers, dryers, stoves, bag small bulk items to prevent windblown debris, wrap broken mirrors or glass in cardboard - tape shut and label "GLASS," mattresses and box springs MUST be contained in a bag or fully wrapped.
IF YOU ARE DISCARDING CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT - Bundle securely, no more than 4 foot length and 40lbs, no nails or screws are to be visible, carpet and padding is to be rolled and tied, no more than 4 foot length and 40lbs, empty latex paint cans with lids removed and an absorbent (kitty litter) added to dry out any remaining paint residue.

Here is a reminder of what Republic Services deems acceptable to put in your recycling tote! If yard clippings or other non eligible items are in the tote it will not be dumped. Recycle is picked up every other week; the next recycle day is this Friday the 15th!
