From playgrounds to policy, childhood isn’t or shouldn’t be changing - but how government intrudes into parenting most certainly has. ParentsUSA Executive Director, David DeLugas, is working at the intersection of parents’ rights and public perception which impacts government’s overboard response. Check out the link to an article highlighting the change in childhood independence for a deeper look. https://bigthink.com/mind-behavior/the-quiet-disappearance-of-the-free-range-childhood/

Interested in legal points of view? ParentsUSA’s David DeLugas often shares his thoughts on Court TV. Watch his recent appearance with the link in the caption! To help parents needing legal assistance, help grow ParentsUSA by following on social media and by donating $5 or more once or monthly. Your support is what allows ParentsUSA to help other parents – even you!

Are you a parent seeking assistance? Yes, David DeLugas is a legal expert (just ask Court TV), but any request for help must only be made by email to [email protected]. ParentsUSA provides help for parents relying on donations. Without donations, ParentsUSA cannot help as much as parents and their children need help. It pains ParentsUSA each time a parent is turned away only because of a lack of resources.

In this episode of "Court of Opinion," Parents USA's Executive Director, David DeLugas, along with Randy Kessler and Judge Larry Seidlin, engage in a compelling discussion hosted by TV's Julia Jenaé.

Key topics include:

- The tragic case of Brendan Banfield, who is accused of killing his wife and a man he lured to meet her, with implications surrounding his au pair's involvement and her deal with the prosecutor. Is she "getting away with murder?"
- The alleged actions of Paul Caneiro, who is accused of murdering his brother, sister-in-law, and young niece and nephew over a financial dispute, followed by the destruction of their home (and his) by arson.
- The heartbreaking case of the missing 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie.

Mallerie and Chris followed Georgia's "Childhood Independence Act" when their fully capable child rode his scooter to a nearby park.
DFCS launched a child-abuse investigation anyway, then found the allegation of NEGLECT against Mallerie was "SUBSTANTIATED."
ParentsUSA appealed and, without even having the Administrative Review, Mallerie was told that DFCS reversed its finding to "UNSUBSTANTIATED."

There remains work to do for Mallerie: Getting this expunged. But what their children and these parents endured cannot be "reversed" or undone. Help ParentsUSA prevent such intrusions into families. ParentsUSA is standing with this family to challenge government overreach for them and for other families.
