Congratulations to our Chief Financial Officer, Tarodrick Harper, on 15 years of service to the State of Georgia!

Tarodrick brings excellence, integrity, and an incredible work ethic to everything he does. A retired U.S. Marine, he has continued a life of service through his work with the State, and we are so grateful that part of that journey has been with the Georgia Composite Medical Board.

Beyond being exceptional at his job, Tarodrick is the kind of person every team hopes to have. Tarodrick, thank you for 15 years of dedicated service, leadership, and excellence. We are proud to work alongside you and very lucky to have you on our team. Congratulations on this milestone!

Thank you to Morehouse School of Medicine for an incredible Leadership Summit! Our Director of Compliance, Latisha Bias, and Director of Licensing, David Harris, had the opportunity to attend and see firsthand the extraordinary work happening there, from training the next generation of healthcare leaders to advancing groundbreaking research, strengthening community partnerships, and expanding access to high-quality care across Georgia.

It was a meaningful day of connection and learning, and we're glad to have experts like these leading the way as such a valuable resource for our state.

Attention Physician Assistants and Anesthesiologist Assistants: The process for adding or updating practice and supervisory/collaborative information has changed.

Previously used Job Description forms, formerly known as Form F, are no longer required and will not be processed if uploaded through Gateway.

To make an update, log in to your Gateway account (https://gateway.medicalboard.georgia.gov/index.aspx) and select “Add/Modify Practices & Collaboration.” Please use this electronic process for all future practice additions and modifications.

Using the electronic process sends your information directly through the Board’s licensing system and helps prevent unnecessary processing delays.

Thank you for helping us continue to streamline our licensing processes and improve service through Gateway.

Before you submit, take time to review the requirements, double check that your documents are complete and accurate, and keep an eye on your email and portal for any updates. Skipping these steps can slow things down, so give your application the best shot at moving smoothly through the process.

Big changes on the horizon for our Board leadership!

We're excited to welcome Dr. George Harrison, MD, as our new Board Chair, effective at our August 2026 meeting, and Dr. Judy Gardner, PharmD, as our new Vice Chair, effective July 2026. Congratulations to you both!

We also want to recognize Dr. Austin Flint, MD, who is retiring from the Board. Thank you for your years of service and dedication, Dr. Flint. Your contributions have made a lasting impact.

And a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kathryn K. Cheek, MD, who most recently served as our Board Chair, for her outstanding leadership and years of dedicated service to GCMB.
