Atlanta's Housing Help Center Provides Hope

Our key initiatives in 2024 was the Eviction Diversion Program, designed to help city residents facing housing instability. Although the formal program has ended, we continue to work with constituents to provide rental assistance, legal aid resources, and financial counseling.

Our mission is to ensure stable housing for all by providing assistance with affordable housing options, rental programs, and more. We’re here to support our community by offering resources tailored for seniors, singles, families with school-age children, and youth aged 18-25.

Learn more about the Housing Help Center at: www.housinghelpcenter.com or give us a call today: 404-492-7640.

Let’s create a stronger, more secure Atlanta for everyone!

Have you heard the news? Mayor Dickens opens the 1st Goodr Grocery to be housed in a City Recreation Center! The 15th goodr Grocery Store has officially opened at the William Walker Recreation Center in Southwest Atlanta. 🎉

This is more than just a store—it’s free fresh food access for the Ben Hill Neighborhood, a community previously considered a food desert. Now, 100 local families and seniors will have free monthly access to nutritious food.

As part of the Mayor’s ATL Year of the Youth initiative, the goal is to rapidly transform lives for youth and their caretakers, by reducing food insecurity.

Powered by the Mayor’s Office of Policy, this initiative also highlights the importance of partnerships, which we are honored to lead under Mayor Andre Dickens.

Stay tuned as we continue our mission to uplift every corner of our city and ensure Atlanta is the best place to raise a child.

Breaking Ground 🏗️: The Waterworks Affordable Housing Project

Last month, we took a major step toward creating a brighter future for Atlanta. We’re thrilled to share the news of the Waterworks groundbreaking, an innovative, affordable housing project in West Midtown!

This development will feature 100 modular studio units, providing stable housing for Atlanta’s chronically unhoused residents earning less than 30% of the Area Median Income. Residents will also have access to critical services, including case management and mental health support, all in a location that connects them to transit, amenities, and opportunities.

Waterworks is a collaboration between the City of Atlanta Government, Atlantica Properties, Partners for HOME, Invest Atlanta, and other dedicated partners, all working together under the City’s Rapid Housing Initiative.

Stay tuned for more inspiring updates as we push toward our goal of 500 rapid housing units by the end of 2025.

Our innovative, affordable housing initiative, The Melody, has been on the minds of many… and we’ve earned the awards to prove it! 🏆

With Best in Real Estate from the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Georgia ACT President’s Award, and the Atlanta Regional Commission 2024 Regional Excellence Award, The Melody is celebrated for its innovative approach to solving homelessness quickly and affordably. We’re also thrilled to be among 11 cities recognized by Bloomberg Cities Idea Exchange.

But the real reward? Creating a place where valued Atlantans can safely rebuild their lives with dignity. At The Melody, 40 units built from repurposed shipping containers offer not just housing, but community, with access to case managers, on-site support, and wraparound services. This pioneering development is ’s first multi-family shipping container community, redefining what it means to truly support those experiencing homelessness.

Happy 100 Years to ’s original sensation: Atlanta Municipal Market! 🎉

At its founding, the market was THE place for fresh, local food—long before being a was a trend! Born from the ashes of the Great Atlanta Fire of 1917, this market started as a humble gathering of farmers and vendors, evolving into a permanent fixture in 1924 thanks to the Atlanta Women’s Club.

Back then, it was fresh produce and livestock under a tent. Today, it’s a thriving hub where local businesses offer everything from gourmet eats to handmade goods, proving that fresh food access is key to building healthy neighborhoods and making the best place to raise a child.

Here’s to another century of being ’s go-to for fresh finds!
