The DeKalb County, Georgia Sheriffโ€™s Office (DKSO) is the constitutionally-mandated law enforcement agency responsible for service of criminal and civil papers, securing courtrooms and buildings, and the management and oversight of one of the largest jails east of the Mississippi River. The DeKalb County Jail is the primary housing unit for the pre-trial detention of up to 3,800 adult inmates. DKS

O admits and releases some 40,000 inmates annually. With an arrest rate higher than the national average, the DKSO Fugitive Unit is responsible for apprehending fugitives from justice on warrants. For more information, visit www.dekalbsheriff.org.
