Heads up, campers and park friends! As we transition into the cozy fall season, our modern bath buildings and campground water systems will be closing for the season at 1 PM on October 15.
But don’t worry—we’ve still got you covered!
• Fresh water will be available behind Park Headquarters. (bring a hose)
• Outhouses throughout the park will remain open for your convenience.
A quick note for those planning ahead:
The dump station will be closed for construction from October 19 through November 2. After that, it will reopen for dumping only as usual.
And just a reminder: for visitors not registered to camp at the park, the fee for dumping or filling water tanks is $10.

We will once again be attempting to complete the prescribed burn of the area adjacent to the Day Use Area beginning this Monday 10/12. As with the previous attempt, this plan is weather dependent and may be canceled with little notice if conditions are not suitable.

Today’s the day! A prescribed burn is taking place at Clear Lake State Park. Please use caution when traveling along CR622 and Clear Lake Drive, as there may be reduced visibility and increased fire personnel and apparatus in the area. The Day Use Area will remain closed for the duration of the burn. If conditions stay favorable, operations may continue into tomorrow as well. Thank you for your patience and support!

Clear Lake State Park’s sanitation station will temporarily close Oct. 19–Nov. 2 to accommodate wastewater system upgrades. Water will remain available at the park headquarters during this time.
Please also remember:

• All campground water, restrooms, and showers will close for the season on Oct. 14.

• The day-use area water and restrooms will close for the season on Sept. 21.

Thank you for your patience as we prepare the park for fall and winter operations.

A prescribed burn is planned at Clear Lake State Park sometime between Sept. 10–19. The exact date will depend on when weather and wind conditions are safest and most favorable. During the burn, the day-use area will be closed, and campers and neighbors may notice an increase in smoke at certain times.

Prescribed burns are one way the DNR keeps lands and forests healthy. The burns are conducted by highly trained DNR personnel in cooperation with the proper authorities and local units of government.

Public safety is a top priority during all prescribed burns, which sometimes are canceled at the last minute due to careful monitoring of weather and wind conditions.

Members are currently experiencing an outage at the Canada Creek substation with Wolverine Power, and Wolverine Power is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it.

Restoration timing is currently unknown, but we will keep you updated.
