ARE YOU A PEYTON FOREST TIGER? WE NEED YOUR INPUT!

My name is Tameika Jordan, and I serve as the President of the Harlan Terrace Community Club (HTCC), located within the Peyton Forest neighborhood.

Last week, our leadership convened a meeting with APS Superintendent Bryan Johnson to discuss the future of Peyton Forest Elementary School. We are earnestly endeavoring to prevent the closure of our neighborhood school, Peyton Forest. Additionally, we seek to collaborate with APS to propose neighborhood programming and amenities that align with the needs of the community residents. APS has provided us with a very limited timeframe to pursue these initiatives; consequently, we have developed a survey for the community at large and kindly request your participation.

Join us as we help shape the future of one of Atlanta’s most meaningful public spaces. The City of Atlanta invites residents, stakeholders, and community members to attend Community Meeting #4 for the Chattahoochee Brick Co. Site & Atlanta RiverLands Memorial, Park and Trail Network.

This meeting is an opportunity to see how community feedback has influenced the project’s conceptual designs and the preferred alignment for the Atlanta RiverLands trail. Your voice is important as we continue planning a memorial, park, and trail network that honors the site’s history while creating a lasting community resource.
