We are proud to share the success of our Citizenship Day Workshop in Atlanta! On January 24th, in partnership with CPACS (Center for Pan Asian Community Services) and the Georgia-Alabama Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), we provided 22 individuals with free citizenship consultations. Of the 22, 20 are now moving forward in their naturalization journey.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers, interpreters, attorneys, and community members who made this event not only possible, but impactful. We also commend our attendees who showed incredible determination despite the cold.

Together, we are building stronger, more inclusive communities, and thank you for being part of it!

We are living through a moment of uncertainty, one where humanitarian needs continue to rise while resources are shrinking. For many families rebuilding their lives, the path ahead can feel long and unclear. Yet even in difficult seasons, light emerges.

Across metro Atlanta, that light is found in community, in neighbors who show up, partners who invest, and individuals who believe that stability makes hope possible.

The IRC’s commitment to impactful, innovative, and scalable programs has never been more needed. At this pivotal time, we need you to join us in meeting the moment. We hope to see you on May 30.

A 9th grader in Atlanta is missing school because he does not have the specialized wheelchair required to ride the school bus.

After fleeing conflict in Syria, his family is working to rebuild their lives in a new country. Like any teenager, he wants to learn, make friends, and continue his education. Without safe transportation, he cannot attend class.

The wheelchair he needs costs $2,400. Your donation can provide this essential mobility, helping him return to school and stay on track with his education.

Together, we can remove this barrier and make school accessible again. Once the wheelchair is donated, we will update this page and follow up with everyone by email to share the good news.
