Emory Center for Children's Environmental Health

Emory Center for Children's Environmental Health This page is to share and promote children's environmental health resources and information. Our Center is part research, part outreach.

The Center for Children's Health the Environment, the Microbiome, and Metabolomics (C-CHEM2) aka the the Emory Center for Children's Environmental Health, investigates what environmental exposures exist, how they may be affecting birth outcomes (premature and low birth weight babies) and how specific environmental toxins may be affecting baby brain development. The purpose of the Community Outreac

h and Translation core (COTC) is to share existing children’s environmental health knowledge and emerging research with women/families in metro Atlanta. The Center is guided by a Stakeholder Advisory Board made up of African-American mothers living in metro Atlanta, that work at the community level with mothers, babies, urban farming, race relations, environmental health, and environmental justice related topics.
