Weekends are the perfect time for some uninterrupted training! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜Ž

Our crews got underway to sharpen their skills through Basic Engineering Casualty Control Exercises (BECCEs), line handling, navigation, and more. ๐Ÿงญ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ๐Ÿ›Ÿ

We take pride in maintaining technically proficient crews and staying ready to roll at a momentโ€™s notice. Whether itโ€™s training at the pier or putting those skills to work underway, every evolution helps keep our team sharp, capable, and mission-ready. ๐Ÿ’ช

We also recognized BM2 Crawford for successfully completing her Boat Crew re-certification and BM1 Abalos for earning his initial Tactical Coxswain qualification! ๐Ÿšค๐Ÿ’จ Two important qualifications that strengthen our operational readiness and keep the team moving forward. Way to go, crew! Keep up the momentum and those positive attitudes! ๐Ÿ’ช

Last, but certainly not least, we said farewell to MK3 Hodges. ๐Ÿ˜ข He has been an outstanding addition to our Engineering Department and a valued member of the crew. Congrats to the unitโ€™s newest Boat Crewman, SN Patrique Chery!!! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ›Ÿ ๐Ÿชข โ›‘๏ธ

The basic Boat Crew qualification is the building block and foundation for countless Coast Guard qualifications, establishing the core skills needed to safely and effectively operate in the maritime environment.

Coast Guard boat crewmen are trained in a wide range of critical responsibilities, including surface rescue, helmsmanship, navigation, damage control, and much more. ๐Ÿ’ช These skills require discipline, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure when it matters most.

Tremendous trust and confidence are placed in our boat crews, and SN Chery has already demonstrated the dedication and commitment it takes to earn that trust. Keep up the great work, Chery!
