Storm Cleanup and Brush Collection Notice
The Department of Public Works (DPW) is actively responding to the recent storm impact and will be conducting cleanup operations throughout the community over the coming days. Crews will be addressing storm-related debris and damage, including roads, drainage basins, signs, buildings, properties, and municipal equipment.
As part of these efforts: DPW crews will be working throughout the town to collect large tree limbs, clear drainage basins, and address other storm-related debris.
Brush pick up
Residents will have one full week to place brush and storm-related yard debris at the curb for collection. To assist residents with storm cleanup, violations will not be issued during the month of October 2026 for the brush collection period.
The Department of Public Works is scheduled to begin its town-wide, zone-by-zone brush collection on October 5th. Please check the Borough Calendar for your zone.
o Zone 1 Week of October 4
o Zone 4 Week of October 11
o Zone 2 Week of October 18
o Zone 3 Week of October 25
• Crews will make one pass through each zone in accordance with the scheduled collection calendar.
Brush Drop off
Brush drop off is accepted at the Borough Yard at 25 West Lincoln Avenue Monday through Friday from 6:00AM to 4:00PM. Materials from contractors must be of origin from Atlantic Highlands.
Thank you
This week we kindly ask residents to place brush and eligible storm debris at the curb in a neat manner and, whenever possible, keep it clear of travel lanes, sidewalks, drainage areas, and other obstructions. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as our DPW crews work diligently to restore and clean up our community following the storm.
