This Memorial Day, we pause to remember those who never made it home. We honor the men and women who gave their lives serving our country. As we celebrate with our families this Memorial Day, may we reflect on the true meaning of today, and remember their sacrifice, honor their legacy, and remain forever grateful for the freedom they fought to protect. 🇺🇸❤️

Tomorrow is a bittersweet day for our firehouse family as we send one of our firefighters, Bella, off to boot camp.

Anything from trainings to late night calls, her s***k, determination, and personality have brought so much life to our station. It’s hard to imagine the firehouse and every call without her energy and smiles beside us. While she will be greatly missed around the firehouse, we could not be more proud to watch her chase her dreams.

We wish her nothing but success as she begins this next chapter and cannot wait to see all she accomplishes. No matter where this next chapter takes her, she will always have a family here at the station cheering her on and waiting for her safe return. We know she is going to accomplish amazing things.

Please help us wish her luck and leave some words of encouragement for her as she begins her travels to Texas.

What a night

Tonight our firehouse family, surrounding firehouses and community came together in a way that words truly can’t describe. With everyone’s incredible support, we served around 460 spaghetti dinner plates and had the absolute honor of presenting Erica and her family with over $10,000 at the end of the night.

The love, generosity, and support shown tonight was overwhelming in the best way possible. Seeing so many people come together for one of our own was emotional for all of us, and it’s something we will never forget.

From every meal purchased, donation made, basket donated, helping hand offered, and every person who simply showed up, thank you. Thank you for standing beside Erica, supporting our family, and showing us what our community can truly do.

It would be absolutely impossible to name every business, organization, and individual that donated, supported, volunteered, or helped make tonight possible but please know that every contribution, big or small, meant the world to us and to Erica’s family. We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you.

We also want to give the biggest praise and heartfelt thank you to Billy McCready, who spent countless hours over the past several weeks pouring his time, energy, and heart into making sure every single detail of this event was perfectly planned. The amount of work behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and tonight would not have been possible without his dedication.

Tonight was so much more than just a dinner. ❤️

(And would it really be a firehouse event if we didn’t have at least one call?)

Today’s the day!!

Here are some reminders and we get closer to dinner,

- We will be having a silent auction AND the “Chinese” auction.
Both auctions will close at 7pm tonight. On your tickets you MUST put your name and phone number or we will not be able to get you your prize and we will have to draw another ticket. Winners will be contacted after dinner ends, we will arrange times for pickup with you then!

Another Monday night, another training!
Our members worked on water supply and pump operations tonight. We also took time to flush our dry hydrant as a part of our routine maintenance, while making sure new members understood the workings and old members stay sharp

And of course we had a few visitors wander through…

In an effort to get a rough headcount for the spaghetti dinner we have created an event page. We are unsure why it won’t let us share it directly on this page but it can be found by clicking the link below. Please join the page and respond accordingly to let us know if you are coming so we can be better prepared!

In addition we have added a small Chinese Auction to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy! The baskets are donated by local small businesses and members of the community. Here are some sneak peeks and some of the few that have already donated. If you or your business have already donated we are beyond grateful. Stay tuned for more!!

If you have spent any time around our firehouse you know that we treat one another as our own family. And if you have been around you most likely have had the pleasure of meeting Erica. She’s spent countless hours supporting this company and cheering on her daughter, who is one of our best firefighters.

Now she is facing a cancer diagnosis and has begun her treatments, a fight no one should have to face alone. Along with that fight comes a weight we don’t always see. The constant travel to and from appointments, time away from work, rising costs of treatments & gas, and even the everyday expenses that quickly add up.

We’re coming together as a family to host a spaghetti dinner, with all proceeds going directly to support her and her family during this time. This is our chance to stand beside her, just like she has stood beside all of us for so many years. Every meal served is a small way to give back to someone who has given so much to all of us.

Friday, May 8th at our firehouse
Carry-out: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Dine-in: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Every bit of the proceeds will go directly to her and her family.

Please join us, share a meal, and help us surround her with the love and strength she has always given us.

Here’s something you might not know! We hold a dedicated training night once or twice every single month to keep everyone’s skills sharp. This month’s drill focused on RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) packs, buddy breathing, and search & rescue. These are critical skills used when these firefighters are working in dangerous, low visibility conditions. These trainings help ensure that not only can we protect our community, but that we’re also looking out for one another.

We even had a couple of our new members get hands on experience with these skills for the very first time, stepping right in and learning what it takes to be part of the team.

It’s all part of the commitment we make, putting in the work before the alarm sounds. Stay tuned for next weeks training!
