City of Atmore Animal Control is committed to working in partnership with the community to create a safe, healthy and caring environment for both citizens and animals. Services include pet adoptions, reuniting lost and found pets, animal cruelty investigations, dog licensing, animal bite reports, and rescue services for domestic animals and injured or sick wildlife within the City Limits of Atmore.

🐾 We’re Hiring! Join Our Team 🐾
The Atmore/PCI Animal Shelter is looking to hire a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Part Time Kennel Tech to join our team! 🐶🐱

Kennel Tech duties include:
• Feeding and providing fresh water to animals.
• Cleaning and disinfecting kennels and animal areas.
• Monitoring animals and reporting any concerns.
• Assisting with animal handling and daily shelter care.
• Helping maintain a clean and organized shelter.
• Providing compassionate care to animals of all sizes and temperaments.
•Assisting the public with Adoptions, Owner Surrenders, and Owner Reclaims.

Qualifications:
• Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperament.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Chewy came into the shelter in pretty rough condition, but thanks to our friends at Southern Paws Grooming, LLC, he is feeling refreshed and ready for his new home! 🐾🫧
Chewy is as sweet as he is handsome!He loves to play, knows how to sit and shake, and does great on leash. He is dog friendly and doesn't mind cats. Chewy is also a very vocal with a big personality with lots of love to give!
