Atoka and Tushka Fire Crews, Atoka EMS, Atoka Police Department, and the Atoka Sheriff’s Department are currently working a fire on S Gin Road near the railroad tracks.

Please avoid South Gin Road while emergency crews work to contain the fire and keep the area safe.

Thank you for your cooperation and please give our first responders plenty of room to work.

🔥 Please Use Extreme Caution With Outdoor Burning 🔥

With the current dry conditions, we strongly encourage everyone to refrain from burning whenever possible.

Even a small fire can quickly get out of control under these conditions, especially with dry vegetation. What starts as a controlled burn can become a dangerous wildfire in a matter of minutes.

When in doubt, don’t burn. Help us prevent wildfires and keep our communities safe. 🚒

Update: The Atoka County Wildland Task Force is back in Atoka County. The fire near Achille and Calera in Bryan County is out. Thank you LORD for the rain!

The Atoka County Wildland Task Force has been asked to help on a large wildland fire in Bryan County in the Achille area. We are sending a strike team consisting of firefighters from Atoka, Crystal, Daisy and Harmony. Atoka County and City of Atoka Emergency Management teams are also enroute with our county firefighters. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
