🙏Today, we pause to honor a fallen Lawman.🙏
On behalf of the Atoka County Sheriff’s Office, we extend our deepest thoughts and prayers to the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, the family of the deputy, and all those who served alongside him. There are no words sufficient for a loss like this, but there is a shared understanding among those who wear the badge—an understanding of duty, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment.
This profession demands a level of courage that most will never be asked to give. Every shift begins with the unknown, and every call carries risk. Yet, men and women across this country answer that call anyway. They stand in the gap, placing themselves between danger and the communities they swore to protect.
Today is a reminder that the badge is more than a symbol—it represents a promise. A promise to serve, to protect, and, when necessary, to give everything.
We ask our community to join us in lifting up this deputy’s family and agency in prayer. And we ask that you take a moment to recognize the men and women in your own communities who continue to serve with that same courage and dedication every single day.
May we never take their sacrifice for granted.
Rest easy, Deputy. Your watch is complete.
