Today’s game brought a packed stadium to Jim Glover Field for youth football. The line at the gate never stopped until after halftime of the last game. The concession stand line was LONG all day until the last couple minutes of the last game. The line never stopped all day. This was one of the strongest days in our youth football/cheer. I say this to say…much respect to our Attalla/Etowah community and the Gadsden/Titans community. Although winning is important to these players on both sides the respect shown in our stadium was outstanding from both sides!! Congratulations on an outstanding job today!!

Mayor Means would like to thank the Attalla Fire Department, Attalla Police Department and the Public Works Department for the quick response helping the driver of the Meridian Waste truck. These departments always responds to every need in the city. Meridian waste also responded with a truck to finish today’s route within a few minutes.
