Seneca East Seneca East Local Schools is committed to developing each student through education. News and World Report in the year 2020.

Seneca East Local School District is located in Attica, a village in Seneca County, Ohio. Our current student population is approximately 887 students and our student to teacher ratio is 1 to 15.75, well below the state average of 1 to 18. This allows our district to give each student the individualized attention needed to address the needs of the whole child. Over the years, Seneca East has taken

pride in delivering a solid, first-class education. By laying a solid foundation, Seneca East continues to build on the student experiences in the face of challenges as they arise. The district has state of the art facilities and technology, and the curriculum provided in the schools grows more rigorous with each passing year. Seneca East strives to be an academic leader that produces well-rounded, educated students – the leaders of tomorrow. Seneca East Local Schools is housed on one campus, in one school building, built 12 years ago. This building was designed to meet the needs of all Seneca East students. Students in Seneca East Local Schools are afforded many opportunities. We encourage students to perform at the height of his or her ability through developing critical thinking skills, social accountability, creativity, the ability to communicate effectively and a solid work ethic. AP courses are offered to Seneca East High School students and nearly one quarter of the student population takes at least one AP course. Our district was listed as one of the best ranked schools in the nation by U.S. Seneca East is rooted in tradition. Many students come from multiple generations of Seneca East alumni and we strive to be the first-choice school for every family.

“Tigers” is more than a word and our mascot. It is also our mission statement:

Stars, Stripes, & Lights — It's Almost Here! 🇺🇸

The countdown is on! Stars, Stripes, & Lights is just a few days away on Saturday, September 12, and we are getting ready for an unforgettable evening at Seneca East. 🧡🖤

This year's event is expected to bring more than 2,300 athletes and approximately 10,000 people to the Seneca East campus from approximately 5:00 PM to midnight.

The special ceremony will begin at 7:30 PM. Arrive early to find your spot and experience this meaningful celebration!

The evening will feature:

• A special performance by our amazing Seneca East students under the direction of Mrs. Kim Spencer.
• A rendition of Amazing Grace performed by Sgt. John McGlashan of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
• The arrival of the U.S. Flag by skydiver.
• A spectacular fireworks show.
• For the first time at Seneca East, a patriotic drone show.
• A United States Air Force flyover during the National Anthem, with our very own Jacob Margraf leading three United States Air Force aircraft over the stadium.

All of this will take place as part of our cross-country meet, creating an unforgettable evening of competition, community, patriotism, remembrance, and celebration.

Soon, we will come together to honor, celebrate, and remember. 🇺🇸

Health Partners of Western Ohio will be at Seneca East to provide dental and vision exams for students.

Dental Exams: Monday, November 2
Vision Exams: Thursday, January 7

Elementary students: Permission forms will be sent home this week.

Middle and High School students: Permission forms are available in the office or on the Seneca East website under NURSE.

If you are interested in this service for your student, please return the signed permission form to school by Friday, September 11.

🇺🇸 A night of gratitude is almost here!

Seneca East Local Schools is honored to host a Veteran & First Responder Appreciation Dinner as part of our Stars, Stripes & Lights celebration recognizing America’s 250th Anniversary and reflecting on the 25th Anniversary of September 11.

We look forward to welcoming veterans, active military personnel, firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and first responders for an evening dedicated entirely to gratitude and recognition.
