Unhealthy Air Continues Through Friday

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory through midnight Friday as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to affect Ohio. While today’s air quality is unhealthy, conditions may become even worse by Friday.

If you’re planning to spend time outdoors, especially working, exercising, or attending outdoor events, consider limiting strenuous activity when possible. If you have asthma, COPD, heart disease, or another respiratory condition, take extra precautions and avoid extended time outside.

Pay attention to how you’re feeling. If you begin experiencing coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning of the eyes, nose, or throat, head indoors and seek medical attention if your symptoms become severe.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions and share updates as needed. Until then, please take the advisory seriously, make adjustments where you can, and help protect yourself and those around you. If you don’t have to be outside on Friday, it’s a good day to stay indoors as much as possible.
