SNAP Benefits Delayed? 211 Is Here to Help โ Whether You Need Food or Want to Give
Dear Community Members,
Because of the ongoing government shutdown, some SNAP (Food Assistance) benefits may be delayed or temporarily disrupted. We know this can create real challenges for families who rely on that support each month.
If you or someone you know is struggling to put food on the table, 211 is here to help.
Call 2-1-1 or visit www.211nemichigan.org for free, confidential assistance. Our trained specialists can connect you with local food pantries, community meal programs, emergency food boxes, and other essential resources to help bridge the gap until benefits resume.
And if youโre in a position to help others, 211 can connect you with local pantries and community organizations that urgently need food donations, volunteers, or financial support to meet the increased demand.
Whether you need help or want to give help, 211 is here for both.
With gratitude,
Chiara Cameron-Wood
Executive Director, 211 Northeast Michigan
