UPDATE (12/10/25 12:45pm): All evening events at Avondale—athletics, rentals, and other activities—have been canceled. Given the travel taking place tonight and the likelihood of snow transitioning to ice as temperatures fall, our priority is the safety of our families, staff, and students.

Please note that this evenings band concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Avondale High School.

All Avondale Schools will be closed Wednesday, December 10th due to anticipated heavy snow overnight. ❄️

All evening and athletic event plans will be finalized tomorrow once the weather conditions have been reviewed.

UPDATE (10/27/25, 10:35AM): Power has been restored to Deerfield Elementary, GATE Magnet School, and Avondale Middle School. All schools will be open as usual tomorrow.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during today’s unexpected closure, and we thank you for your cooperation as we ensured the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow!

Due to a power outage, school will be closed for Deerfield Elementary School - Avondale, Avondale GATE Magnet School, and Avondale Middle School.

All other buildings have power and will be open as usual. We will provide updates as soon as we are able.
