⚠️EVENT NOTICE⚠️

Western States 💯 will take place along the Western States Trail on June 27-28. Be aware of increased traffic on the WST and surrounding areas.

🚫Ruck-A-Chuckee Campground and Drivers Flat Road will be closed from June 24 at sunset through June 28.
🚫Cherokee Bar Road closed June 26 at 6:00 AM through June 28

Cool Moon Run will take place in the Olmstead Area Saturday June 13-Sunday June 14, 2026.

🚫Olmstead Vehicle Lot will be closed for the duration of the event
🏃‍♀️Be advised trails will be more busy than usual

We hope you'll join us in celebrating California State Parks Week, June 10 - 14.
☀️ Join us for a community paddle at 10am on Thursday, June 11 at Upper Lake Clementine. Bring your own paddlecraft or borrow one from us and enjoy a lovely day paddling around the canyon.
🦝Join us Saturday, June 13 at the Oregon Hill Parking lot for an incredible native animal presentation by Wild Things Wildlife Programs. You may even get to pet some critters 👀 Presentations are at 11am, 2pm and 5pm.

🚫Quarry Trail Closed
May 5 - 8, will open May 9

⚠️CANYONS ENDURANCE RUN EVENT NOTICE⚠️

Please be advised of the following closures and traffic impacts due to the Canyons Endurance Runs.

🚫 Mammoth Bar closed April 23 at sunset to April 26 at 8:00 AM
🚫 Drivers Flat Road and Ruc-A-Chucky closed April 23 at sunset to April 26 at 8:00 AM
🚫 Lower Lake Road Closed April 25 6:00AM-11:00AM
⚠️Quarry and Olmstead remain open; however, expect traffic impacts

🚮River cleanup!🚮

Join us at the American River Clean-up on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Spend the morning cleaning up the canyon, enjoying community, nature, and learning. Clean-up begins at 8:00 AM, check-in at American River Confluence. Additional meetup in Colfax at the Mineral Bar Campground. Clean-up supplies provided! Just bring yourself, your water bottle and your friends.

✅Parking fees waived for cleanup participants
✅City of Auburn providing shuttle service from ✅Confluence to trailheads in the area
✅Volunteer lead historic bridge & natural history hikes
✅Educational displays
✅Trash contest with prizes & awards
✅Lunch provided by
