Good afternoon! Sharing this again! :) Cayuga County is still in high need for the following! Please reach out if interested! Also...did you know that you can become a resource for a child that you have a pre-existing relationship with? You can become a kinship resource specifically for that child in care and their siblings at a later time if need be. Kinship has been redefined--you could be a coach, teacher, church member, neighbor, family friend, the parent of your child's friend who is in need of care, as well as a cousin, other family member or no blood relation at all! If you have any interest or question--please don't hesitate to reach out! Hope everyone is enjoying their mid-winter recess break!! :)
Good afternoon! Hope you all are staying warm in these frigid temps!! 🥶Are you looking to know more information about what it means to foster/adopt? If so...continue to read 🥰
There are a variety of ways you can help a child in care even if it is not permanently! Your contribution no matter how small you may think it is can help change the course of a life that matters! Here are things you can do to help:
*Be an emergency-respite only.
*Be a short-term/temporary placement only.
*Be an on-call weekend respite only.
*Be a respite resource for a family that may be struggling.
*Be a respite resource for a family going to events/out of state, etc. only.
*Be a long-term resource.
*Lastly-foster with the goal of adoption.
There are so many positive, loving relationships that are built between children in care and their current/future providers as well as the potential foster parents and the birth families.
If this interests you, please reach out to Casey Green at 315-253-1190, or Cammy Sherman at 315-294-8153 and we will get you started! Hope to hear from you soon! Stay safe ❤️
