There are some posts you never want to have to write, and this is one of them.

Many of us at the Auburn Police Department had the privilege of serving alongside Daniel during our time at the Winder Police Department. He was the kind of person whose presence was always felt. Whether it was his willingness to help, his genuine care for others, or simply the way he carried himself, Daniel made an impact on everyone who knew him.

He was one of the most caring, dedicated, and respectful officers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. More importantly, he was an even better person. His loss is deeply felt, and he will be missed by so many.

Please keep his wife, Danielle, his family, and our brothers and sisters at the Winder Police Department in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Daniel. Thank you for your service, your friendship, and the difference you made in the lives of so many. You will never be forgotten.

What an incredible evening!

Auburn Police Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business for participating in our Women’s Self-Defense Class.

These ladies came ready to work! They trained hard, stayed engaged, and weren’t afraid to step outside their comfort zones. By the end of the class, it was clear they had developed valuable skills, greater confidence, and the mindset needed to better protect themselves if ever faced with a dangerous situation. We can honestly say this is one tough group of women, and we couldn’t be more proud of the effort each of you put into the training.

A special thank you goes to Kristian, along with all of the instructors and students at Anthem martial arts and the Auburn cpa alumni for generously volunteering your time and expertise. Your professionalism, energy, and commitment to teaching made this class a tremendous success, and we are grateful for your continued partnership with the Auburn Police Department.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. We look forward to offering more self-defense classes in the future and hope to see even more members of our community join us. Together, we can continue building a safer, stronger, and more prepared community.
