Sherwood Heights uses the Workshop Model as a framework for teaching literacy and math. We use a Balanced Literacy Approach and Everyday Mathematics within this framework. We utilize district-created kits to teach science and social studies, which we also integrate with literacy and math. We are currently being trained to customize learning using the model outlined by the Re-Inventing Schools Coal
