Kiwanis of Auburn had the pleasure of hearing from guest speakers Jenny Babl and AJ Harris of the Boys and Girls Club of East Alabama. It was wonderful to hear about the amazing things that this great organization does for children in our community. It is a place where children can learn, grow, connect, and develop beneficial life skills, and we love supporting their mission.

Today, Kiwani’s of Auburn heard from Margaret Arnold, Vice President of Philanthropy at Auburn University. It was great to hear about all of the work that Margaret and her team do and how it impacts the campus as well as the Auburn experience. It was very inspiring to see just how passionate Margaret is about Auburn. Thank you for sharing with us today.

Today, Kiwanis of Auburn had the opportunity to hear from Anthony Terling of Auburn Opelika Tourism. Anthony is the Sports Development Director and leads efforts to bring sports tourism to Lee County and the great cities of Auburn and Opelika. These events greatly benefit our community.

Also, Anthony and his wife co-founded an amazing non-profit public charity called Austin 1st Foundation that raises awareness and research funding for rare diseases. We also had the privilege of hearing more about this amazing foundation.

Thank you Anthony for all that you do for our community! Also thank you to speaker coordinator Amber Beasley for inviting Anthony to speak today.

Kiwanis of Auburn had the opportunity today to hear from Mark Fuller, Life Coach. Mark has a mission for his clients to live a life of legacy, purpose, and something that matters. He loves to see people come alive in who they are and thrive in life. Mark does one on one personal coaching, structured group coaching, and also speaking engagements. Thank you, Mark for taking the time to come and speak with us today and for all that you do in our community to help teams and individuals maximize their potential in life.

Kiwanis of Auburn had the opportunity to hear from Tracie West with Alabama State Board of Education District 2. Tracie is very passionate about schools and education in the State of Alabama. She shared some of the amazing things that they are working on in our state. It’s incredible to hear the positive impact that she and her fellow members on the board are making for children in Alabama.

Kiwanis of Auburn was able to hear from Ben Cohen from GlobeWorks International Ministries. GlobeWorks is an international, interdenominational nonprofit Christian ministry, whose purpose and passion is to proclaim the good news of salvation, found only in Jesus Christ by partnering with pastors and evangelist in developing nations worldwide. Thank you Ben for sharing with our group the amazing work that you are doing.

Kiwanis of Auburn invited Josh Hyatt with Our Home Pharmacy to speak. Their mission is “to offer hope in the health of our community through our service”. Josh is very passionate about making sure customers are cared for and that all their pharmacy and health care needs are met in the most effective and efficient way possible. Kiwanis of Auburn welcomed Dr. Heath Parker, Dean of VCOM to speak. VCOM’s mission is to prepare globally minded, community-focused osteopathic physicians to meet the needs of rural and medicinally underserved populations and advance research to improve human health. The community of Auburn is very blessed to have this Med School. Thank you Dr. Parker for everything that you do at VCOM and in our community.

The ministry helps freshmen build lasting friendships, connect with campus ministries, and find local Bible-teaching churches before classes start.
