The Auburn Fireworks parking question, answer! Check it out!
Remember the Shifters Car Club is working hard to make this event a success, we want to support them, they will have silent auction items available to bid on, food, food trucks, kid's activities, and goodie bags!

Yes, we know... we've posted about fireworks a lot. But trust us, future-you will appreciate knowing where to park, where NOT to park, and why swimming in the pond is a terrible life choice. 😆
Today's spotlight: Rieke Park & the Auburn Shifters Car Club Car Show
🚘 CAR SHOW DETAILS
July 4th 2026
The Auburn Shifters Car Club Car Show runs from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Show cars should enter the Rieke Lodge parking lot (1600 N. Indiana Ave.) where Shifters Club members will help get everyone parked.
👀 Coming to look at the cars?
Please park in the main Rieke Park parking lot and use the walking path to the lodge. We hear the Shifters may even have a little help available for those who don't want to make the full walk.
🌱 And please... do not park in the grass.
🎇 FIREWORKS VIEWING
The fireworks will be launched at dusk from the north side of the furthest ball diamond.
See the danger/restricted area on the map with the giant firework symbol? That's not a VIP section. That's the "please don't go there" section. 🚫
⚾ No viewing from the ball diamonds either. Safety is our #1 priority.
You are welcome to hang out near your vehicle in the parking lot for the fireworks, but please wait until it's actually fireworks time.
🚻 RESTROOMS
The park restroom buildings will be closed, but don't worry—we'll have plenty of portable restrooms available.
🚫 PARKING REMINDERS
See the "No Parking" areas on the map?
Those lots are privately owned, so please don't park there.
And a special reminder:
🚗 Indiana Avenue is NOT a parking spot.
Not the east side.
Not the west side.
Not "just for a minute."
Please follow all posted no-parking signs.
Indiana Avenue will close at 9:45 PM from North Street to Betz Road for everyone's safety.
🚶 RIEKE TRAIL
Residents are absolutely welcome to walk from home and enjoy all the festivities!
However, the portion of the trail shown on the map will close at 9:45 PM until the fireworks are finished. Once the show is over, you'll be able to use it again to head home.
🍔☕🍧 FOOD TRUCKS GALORE
Hungry? Thirsty? Need caffeine to keep up with your kids? We've got you covered.
Food trucks will be located at the south end of the parking lot and near the car show, serving:
✅ Delicious food
✅ Caffeinated drinks for parents
✅ Non-caffeinated drinks for kids
✅ Shaved ice (because... July ☀️)
IMPORTANT
There is absolutely NO ALCOHOL allowed anywhere:
❌ Park
❌ Parking lots
❌ Trail
❌ Anywhere at the event
🐟 ONE LAST THING... THE POND
We know it's hot.
We know the water looks tempting.
We know someone is already thinking about it.
No. 😄
The pond is not a swimming pond. Please stay out of the water.
