After DSHS placed a sexually violent predator in Enumclaw without notifying the community, I worked to insert language in the budget requiring DSHS to do better. Gov. Inslee just vetoed that proviso—ironically, without notifying anyone in the community. This isn’t the end; it’s just the beginning of our fight to hold DSHS accountable and keep our community safe.

House Republican Leader Drew Stokesbary, R-Auburn, and Caucus Vice Chair Eric Robertson, R-Sumner, released the following statement today regarding Gov. Jay Inslee's veto of language requiring notice before sexually violent predators could be placed in local communities and near Tribal reservations:...

From the The Centralia Chronicle:

“Stokesbary in turn argued Democrats’ own logic should favor a general tax cut, pointing to Democratic claims the sales tax disproportionately harms the poor.

‘If the sales tax is as regressive as the Democrats claim it to be … cutting the sales tax will disproportionately help the poor,’ Stokesbary said.”

Budget leaders in the state Legislature were divided in their priorities for the upcoming legislative session during a question and answer session with reporters at the state Capitol on …

Earlier this year I received the "Guardian of Small Business" award from NFIB Washington, the "voice of small business" which represents over 7,000 small businesses in Washington state. Now NFIB has endorsed my campaign for the primary election!

The political action committee for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Washington state’s leading small business association, announced it is endorsing Rep. Drew Stokesbary for the 2022 primary election. “In the wake of government-mandated pandemic restrictions from an unendi...

Ballots are out for the primary election and endorsements are rolling in! One of the endorsements I'm most proud of is Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs (WACOPS). Honored to have the support of our men and women in blue.

The Washington Council of Police & Sheriffs (WACOPS) has endorsed Drew Stokesbary for reelection in 2022! Drew has consistently fought back against the “Defund the Police” movement, and as the Republican budget lead, he’s been a leader in the Legislature on increasing funding to police departm...

The madness we have seen from the far-left mob is unsettling to say the least. We need a leader in Washington who is going to stand up to this mob and hold liberal Governor Inslee accountable for his partisan actions. Drew Stokesbary is the last line of defense in King County! Rush in $5, $10, or even $15 today so our team can put an end to the insanity we are seeing come out of our state.

The primary results were great! Thank you so much to everyone who put their trust in me; it's an honor to represent the 31st District.

Turnout in the general election is going to be twice as high though, so there's still a lot of work to do before November!

The primary election is today. I hope you’ll vote for me, but the truly important thing is that you VOTE!

My reelection campaign has been endorsed by COMPAS, which represents over 2,000 Seattle police officers and King County Sheriff deputies. I've been proud to have law enforcement's support during each of my campaigns, but I'm especially honored this year.

My reelection campaign has been endorsed by COMPAS, the state law enforcement advocacy organization that collectively represents over 2,000 commissioned police officers and deputy sheriffs in Seattle and King County. COMPAS is comprised of the Seattle Police...

After King County's 2017 sewage spill, my budget amendment penalizing the County was rejected.

After King County's 2019 spill, my bill to fine sewage spills like oil spills wasn't heard.

I'm glad the Suquamish are demanding accountability, because the political establishment isn't.

After millions of gallons in sewage spill into Puget Sound in 2018 and 2019, the Suquamish Tribe has put King County on notice that the tribe intends to sue over the spills.
