We're excited to introduce a new opportunity for the 2026–2027 Placer County 4-H program year—and we're looking for volunteers to help make it a success!

Introducing Placer County 4-H Short-Term Projects: fun, engaging programs that are under 6 weeks long, giving youth the opportunity to explore new interests, learn valuable skills, and discover new passions.

Do you have experience in:

🎨 Painting
📸 Photography
🧵 Felting
🎭 Crafts
🤖 Robotics
🪚 Woodworking
🌱 Gardening
🔧 Plumbing
🚀 Rocketry..or another skill you'd love to share?

We'd love to have you lead a Short-Term Project! It's a flexible way to make a lasting impact on local youth without the commitment of leading a year-long project.

You decide the schedule! Short-Term Projects must include at least 6 hours of instruction and be completed in less than 6 weeks. Examples include:
• One 6-hour workshop
• Three 2-hour sessions
• One hour each week for six weeks
• Or another schedule that works for you!

Every new skill learned helps build confidence, leadership, and a lifelong love of learning.

It's almost time for the 4-H Enrollment System, ZSuite, to shut down for rollover tasks. Please note that ZSuite will be inaccessible beginning June 23rd at noon until July 14th at noon.

Beginning July 14th, ONLY VOLUNTEERS can begin their ZSuite enrollment. Youth enrollment will open August 3rd.

So mark your calendars and get ready to enroll!

Placer & Amador 4-H Summer Camp, day 2: Hawaiian/Tourist Day. Lanyards, bracelets, crafts, S.O.S. Survival, dress up, field games, campfire cooking on a stick, great meals, campers serving food, snacks, line dancing All the fun camp stuff!

First day of Placer & Amador 4-H Summer Camp! All checked in and off to a great week. Grilled cheese sandwiches, safety talk, tie dye, lanyards, friendship bracelets, ice cream making, baked ziti, singing, dancing, camp fire, skits, songs, and apple crisp.
